It was a Sunday stroll on a Tuesday night for the likes of the Denver Nuggets and the Utah Jazz this week, as both dominated to grab comfortable wins on a night that featured just two games of NBA action. The Nuggets got yet another double-double from machine-like man Nikola Jokic. He had 27 points and 12 rebounds as led them past the Oklahoma City Thunder by a score of 119-101. And he did so in just three quarters of action, such was their advantage.
The victory got them up to 7-7 on the season, and they will hope this is the last time they flirt back and forth with the .500 mark. Elsewhere, the Utah Jazz had a similar story as they took down the New Orleans Pelicans despite a big showing from Zion Williamson, who had 32 points in the 118-102 defeat. The Jazz, who went to 10-4 thanks to their sixth win in a row now, saw Donovan Mitchell post 28 and Rudy Gobert grab 18 rebounds and put up 13 points of his own. They are only behind the Lakers now, a half a game, so the league needs to look out for them as they have found a groove of late.
