The words ‘signature win’ get thrown around a lot in the world of college basketball. Oklahoma State had already picked up a couple ahead of Saturday’s meeting with Texas, but that didn’t stop them from trying to get another. Having beaten Texas Tech and Kansas, they made another case to be ranked after seeing off the Longhorns by a score of 75-67 in double overtime on Saturday.
Kalib Boone led the way in terms of scoring with 22, but they also were aided tremendously by Cade Cunningham. He scored 19 total, with five of those coming in the decisive second OT. His contested three-pointer with over a minute and a half to go in that period, essentially clinched the game, running their record up to 5-5 in the Big 12 and 12-5 overall. Texas, the #6 team in the nation, fell to 11-5 and 5-4 in the conference with the defeat.
