Raiders Get First Vegas Win, Move To 2-0

Jonathan Grant | September 22nd, 2020

The Oakland Las Vegas Raiders are 2-0. That occurred on Monday Night Football as they came from a 10-0 deficit to see off the New Orleans Saints by a score of 34-24 in their new, breathtaking Allegiant Stadium. Derek Carr, their quarterback that has been doubted for years, came through in a big way for them, tossing three touchdown passes and racking up 18 yards shy of 300 total through the air. Running back Josh Jacobs also played a role with 88 yards rushing, but it was wide receiver Darren Waller that will have turned many a head.

He made 12 catches for 103 yards, one of which was a TD, showing how well he has connected with Carr. Drew Brees, the opposite number’s QB, did well enough with over 300 yards passing, but he had a lone TD and an interception to go with it as his inconsistencies continued following week 1’s win over the Tampa Bay Bucs. Despite the win for the Raiders, they remain tied early on with the Kansas City Chiefs as both have a pair of victories to begin their respective seasons.
