In case you have missed it, the Texas Rangers are having a really bad season. Their record isn’t nearly as bad as that of the Arizona Diamondbacks, but they still have had their fair share of issues, to say the least. Monday night was another poor performance from them as they dropped to a sixth consecutive defeat.
The manner in which it was done was pretty awful as well, as the Detroit Tigers, a team well under .500 and 13.5 games off their division lead, clobbered them 14-0. Akil Baddoo drove in four, two from a home run and two from a single, while Miguel Cabrera had five RBI’s to his name. In the last six games, the Rangers have lost by a total score of 51-7. In the last three, they have failed to get a single run across the plate, losing 29-0. Should they be shut out again on Tuesday, it would see them pull into a dubious tie for the most all-time. Not exactly the kind of company you want to be in, is it?
