The Toronto Raptors have now won 15 games in a row following their victory on Monday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The 137-126 home win was powered by three big performances. Of course, the first to be mentioned has to be Pascal Siakam. He showed glimpses of greatness last season, make no mistake about that, but since Kawhi Leonard has left, he’s gotten ever better. He put up 34 points to lead all scorers in this one. Meanwhile, two other players produced double-doubles on the evening.
Kyle Lowry had 27 points and 11 assists while OG Anunoby had 25 points, a career-high for him, and 12 rebounds as well. The win means they extended the streak for the most wins in franchise history, and it’s easy to see why they won here: the starters combined for 123 points. That is incredible. As for the T’Wolves, they continue to struggle, even with new personnel. D’Angelo Russell debuted for them, but it was effectively ruined. He did have 22, adding to 23 delivered by Karl Anthony-Towns, but this team is still a long, long way from being a factor at all in the NBA landscape again.
