The Tampa Bay Rays are up 1-0 in their ALCS against the Houston Astros. But it sure wasn’t the easiest thing they have ever done. They fell behind in the first inning to the controversial (which Astro isn’t, though) Jose Altuve’s home run. That solo shot gave the Astros a 1-0 lead and had some feeling it was a case of “here we go again.”
But Blake Snell (for five innings) and the Tampa bullpen wouldn’t allow another run all night as they come-from-behind to collect a 2-1 win. Randy Arozarena, one of the major stars of the postseason thus far, kept up his brilliance with a solo shot of his own in the bottom of the fourth to tie it up a one apiece. An inning later, it was unlikely hero time for catcher Mike Zunino. His RBI single knocked in what proved to be the winning run, giving Tampa the 1-0 advantage to begin the series.
