RBC Heritage: Four Leaders Heading Into Sunday

Jonathan Grant | June 21st, 2020

For the second consecutive week, the PGA Tour is bracing for a wild shootout on the final day of a tournament. Four men sit atop the leaderboard after three rounds, with Webb Simpson, Tyrrell Hatton, Abraham Ancer, and Ryan Palmer all tied at -14 scores. Three others are just one shot back, while eight more are only two shots back.

With Harbour Town playing ‘for the taking,’ it’s truly anyone’s RBC Heritage to grab by the horns on Sunday. It could go to the man that shoots the lowest score; it’s really that simple, even if they are from outside the pack we expect to win. Simpson, who had a share of the lead coming into Saturday, only shot -3 and made just one birdie on the back nine to give others a chance. Hatton is the man on fire: he shot a 63 on the day to take a share of the lead, and he’s looking for back-to-back victories. Ancer shot a 65 and Palmer a 66, as a huge list of contenders, including Sergio Garcia will give them chase on what could be a memorable Sunday.
