It was a tough day for baseball with so much other sports action going on, but their was some history to be made on Thursday in the league despite the divided attention. That history was made by Boston Red Sox rookie Bobby Dalbec, who hit a home run for the fifth consecutive game.
He is the first player to have hit so many in a row within his first ten Major League games, which is obviously quite the feat. It was his sixth homer overall since making his debut, and on top of that he helped the struggling Sox get a 4-3 win over the Rays on the night due to his dinger. There might not be a lot of reasons to watch them play right now, but at least fans of the team will have a little bit of something to watch and get excited for.
