While the NBA are considering all sorts of ways to satisfactorily conclude the 2020-21 season, it is also looking, apparently, ways to get in the next season in full as well. Many have felt that there is likely no way to both finish the current season and also begin the next on time, so there have been all sorts of suggestions.

Some feel that simply reducing the number of games played in the following season would be common sense, though anyone with an inkling for finance would know that’s always going to be a long shot at best. But the latest idea now is that the NBA is going to push for a whole season to be played, even if that season starts and wraps up later than it has traditionally done so. It’s either extend the season some, cut down the rest days in between games, shave off some playoff games, or just have a shorter off-season. Something has to give, so it’ll be interesting which route they take.
