After months of speculation, it now looks like the answer to the question is known: Justin Turner will not be departing Los Angeles. That’s according to sources that indicate that the clutch third baseman, 36 years old, has signed a two-year deal worth $34 million with the Dodgers.
He was a key member of the team that won last season’s World Series and had been a formidable bat in the postseason for each of the past few years as well as the Dodgers attempted to maneuver their way into winning one. Having been with the team since 2014, making him the longest-serving position player, it was hard to picture him wearing another uniform. Now we won’t have to for at least the next couple of years.
