Reports: Brown Reaches Deal With Bucs

Tom Brady must have really enjoyed working with Antonio Brown for the short amount of time he got to do so in New England last season. The former Patriots man, according to reports, might soon get the chance to work once more with the enigmatic wide receiver, as various sources are indicating that a contract agreement has been made between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Brown.

Pats Pulpit

It’s said that it will be a one-year deal, one that comes off the back of the end of his suspension, and it will begin in Week 9, if reports are to be believed. The deal is being pushed through mainly because the Bucs are in desperation mode for a new wide out due to an injury crisis at the position. Brown, while being very inconsistent of late in his behavior, has certainly shown he has the ability to be a big star when his head is on straight, so this move is one that is fairly low risk for the Bucs. It does mark a U-turn of sorts, as head coach Bruce Arians had deemed him not a fit back in March. We’ll have to see how that impacts the team moving forward. It had looked like Brown might be headed to Seattle, but it appears they have lost out to Brady, Arians, and co.
