Ronaldo Leads Juventus Over Lecce

Jonathan Grant | June 27th, 2020

You just can’t hold down a world class superstar, can you? You might be able to do it for a half, but doing it for two, particularly when you’re team is a man down is nigh on impossible. That’s the task Lecce found themselves in following a red card to defender Fabio Lucioni in the 31st minute on Friday in Serie A.

The Washington Time

Paulo Dybala scored after half time, giving them the lead before Cristiano Ronaldo struck home a penalty and then assisted on two further goals. One came from Gonzalo Higuain and the other from Matthijs de Ligt to make it a 4-0 final score. The win ensures Juventus remain top of the Serie A table, seven points clear of closest rivals Lazio currently. Lazio do have a game-in-hand, but they have a ton of ground to make up at this stage.
