The sports world continues to be set alight by the Covid-19 pandemic, just like the rest of us. Despite that, the games do go on. Cristiano Ronaldo now has it, and shortly after we learned that, it was announced that Alabama Crimson Tide head football coach Nick Saban also has it. Obviously, the most important thing is their health and well-being, but that should go without saying.

However, there are some big-time implications for the titanic SEC clash between the Georgia Bulldogs and his team this weekend if he’s unable to be outside of quarantine. If Saban doesn’t test negative and is in quarantine, he’ll be forbidden to have any contact with the team during the game. That’s an NCAA rule, so it could complicate the process just a little bit. The same happened to Florida State head coach Mike Norvell earlier this season, so there is definitely a precedent.
