For the first two or three weeks, almost all of the talk about Major League Baseball was centered around the Los Angeles Dodgers. Such had been their dominance. Since then, however, they have been running out of steam. Saturday marked a third straight loss to Milwaukee, though the Brewers had to earn it in a big way. The Brew Crew’s ultimate hero was Travis Shaw on this day in a rematch from the 2018 NLCS. Shaw had a solo homer in the bottom of the third that tied the game at two apiece.
It would remain that very same score until the tenth. The Dodgers plated a run via a Justin Turner single only for shortstop Luis Urias, who had earlier homered himself, to tie it up with one of his own and send it to the 11th. The Dodgers scored two runs in that frame, forcing the Brewers to get three across. Shaw strolled to the plate with the game at 5-5, and he delivered again, singling to right field to win it 6-5. They will now go for the sweep on Sunday as they remain in control of the NL Central at present.
