The story of one of the NFL’s most unlikely heroes is set to continue, according to sources. Ryan Fitzpatrick, who is a 38-year-old veteran, is said to have agreed to a one-year deal worth as much as $12 million with the Washington Football Team for the upcoming season.

It will be his 17th NFL season and it will be his ninth team as he looks to make it nine teams on which he has thrown a touchdown pass for. He spent the last two seasons on the Miami Dolphins, with last season being a year in which he eventually yielded to Tua as the team made the playoffs in shocking fashion given how poorly they had played in years prior. He’s expected to be the starter when camp begins, but we’ll just have to wait and see how it all shakes out in Washington.
