Sources: Smith Cleared For Washington Return

In one of the most incredible stories in all of sports, it looks like Alex Smith of the Washington football team is set to return. Yes, that Alex Smith. The same one that had a double break of his leg in November of 2018 and the one that almost didn’t walk again as a result of it. Infection caused him to eventually had 17 different surgeries, and at one stage amputation was being considered.

Now 36 years of age, he never gave up on his dream of getting back out on the field. That is now a reality, it would appear, as sources are indicating that he has been cleared to join the team for football activities. The quarterback will join the likes of Dwayne Haskins and Kyle Allen in a bid for playing time. After this comeback would you really count him out of taking the starting job at some point?
