Suns, Heat Go Up 2-0 Ahead Of Game 3

So far so good for the Phoenix Suns and the Miami Heat. Through two games, both teams have a pair of victories as they prepare for their respective Game 3’s on the road next time out. The Suns’ win on Wednesday was a 129-109 result that once again saw Luka Doncic post big numbers (he had 35 points) but he was not enough for the second time in the series to make a difference.

Dallas Morning News

Devin Booker led the way for the top-seeded hosts as he dropped 30 and Chris Paul was phenomenal in the fourth quarter, scoring 14 in the final 12 minutes to close out the Mavericks and head to Dallas with a 2-0 edge. The story is much the same for the Heat following a 119-103 win in Miami that has them heading to Philly up two games to none. The 76ers are in a world of hurt without Joel Embiid, and with no timetable on his status, they could well be effectively left with no chance against the East’s best team. Tyrese Maxey did post 34 to lead all scorers for the Sixers, but the Heat are just too good at spreading the scoring load. Bam Adebayo had 23 points and Jimmy Butler had 22 points and 12 assists, and the Heat will head to Philadelphia fully confident in securing a quick end to the series.
