Suns Stay Hot, LaMelo Lights Up Washington, Jackson Becomes Grizz Hero

It was a busy day in the NBA on Monday, and that left us with plenty to talk about. To begin our recap, we’ll start with the streaking Phoenix Suns. Following a 115-111 win over the San Antonio Spurs that wasn’t as close as the score would indicate, they have now won 13 games in a row and sit with a 14-3 record. Devin Booker had 23 points while Deandre Ayton had his typical double-double with 21 points and 14 rebounds in the win.

Elsewhere, LaMelo Ball was showing out for the Charlotte Hornets as they moved to 9-8 with a 109-103 win in Washington over the Wizards. Ball did a little bit of everything as he finished the contest with 28 points and 13 rebounds. He also dished out seven assists in the outing. Terry Rozier was also big for the Hornets, making eight three-pointers in a 32-point display. And finally, we’ll finish up with Jaren Jackson, Jr. You might be asking who that is, but if you are a fan of the Memphis Grizzlies you won’t be today after he was the hero in a 119-118 win over the Utah Jazz on Monday. Jackson won a tip-off at mid-court with 13 seconds to go before he nailed a three-pointer with five seconds to go to help his team bounce back after a 43-point mauling at the hands of the Timberwolves. He finished with 26 points while Ja Morant had 32 and Desmond Bane added 28 in the thriller.
