We knew it was going to happen sooner or later, but we got confirmation on Wednesday that Tiger Woods would indeed be put into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2021. The reason this was possible was due to an age limit change which saw the minimum age decrease from 50 to 45. And truth be told, there may not be a more automatic selection in the history of the game, so that is one reason why it was very obvious he would end up making it so soon.
Woods has 93 overall wins around the globe in his professional career, with 82 of those coming on the PGA Tour. He has won 15 majors, including last season’s incredible Masters victory, and has been the Tour player of the year 11 times in his career. It’s extremely well deserved, to say the least! Hopefully he wears red upon his induction; it’d only be right.
