The NFL offseason has been full of intrigue so far, with a number of high-profile players in a position to make decisions over where they will play in the future. The Tennessee Titans had been rumored to have been interested in the services of Tom Brady, who is said to be prepared to depart the New England Patriots after a couple of decades of fine work.
That, however, is not going to be on the cards now, with a deal, reportedly, in place between the Titans and quarterback Ryan Tannehill. The former Miami Dolphins QB comes off the back of a season in which the Titans upset the Pats on the way to the AFC Title Game. He had the league’s highest passing rating on the way to winning Comeback Player of the Year. The extension is said to be for four years and worth up to a lucrative $118 million. Of that amount, $91 million is to be guaranteed, making sure he is getting paid well after his best season yet.
