Titans Thrash Bills Upon Return To Action

Jonathan Grant | October 14th, 2020

Few people would have blamed the Tennessee Titans for coming back to action on Tuesday night and looking a little less than sharp. But they were far from rusty in their first game back in over a week as they blew out the Buffalo Bills to win 42-16. Ryan Tannehill wasn’t so good that he jumped off the page at you statistically, but he was very solid, throwing for just under 200 yards and racking up four total touchdowns (three in the air, one on the ground).

A lot of the damage was done, admittedly, late in the day, as the Titans scored twice in the last four minutes. One came from Derrick Henry, his second rushing TD, and the other from Jonnu Smith’s reception from Tannehill. Buffalo’s Josh Allen finished with 261 yards, but he had two interceptions to go along with two TD’s, helping account for the lopsided final score.
