It doesn’t get a whole lot uglier than the game we saw on Thursday Night Football this week between the Indianapolis Colts and the Denver Broncos. In addition to the Colts just barely squeaking out a 12-9 overtime victory in an obviously low-scoring contest, there were also a number of injuries that riddled the game. Both starting quarterbacks each launched two interceptions apiece, too, as all of the offense ended up coming from field goals.

Chase McLaughlin his four overall for the visiting Colts, with three of them coming from 48 yards or more. His final one, the winner, was a 48-yard effort that came with 5:50 remaining on the clock. Russell Wilson did drive the Broncos down into the redzone after that, but his pass attempt was broken up on 4th & 1 much to his own dismay. Indy moved to 2-2-1 on the year with the win while the host Broncos fell to just 2-3. That makes two straight losses for them and four games in which they have failed to get more than 16 points on the board. Both teams, no doubt, will be more than happy to have some time to rest and recover before their next games after this performance, or lack thereof.
