Brendon Todd doesn’t have the biggest name in all of golf, but that doesn’t mean he should not be a player on the radar of fans- both casual and hardcore. His story is a unique one because he only got back to the PGA Tour in 2019 after he had made just five cuts in 41 events prior.
At any rate, he leads by two at the WGC- Fedex St. Jude Invitational after two rounds thanks to some tremendous play. He was two back of Brooks Koepka after round 1, but while Koepka fell back, he continued to move forward. He shot a -5 65 on Friday to move him to -11 overall, giving him a two-shot edge over Rickie Fowler. Behind Fowler a further two are three players on -7, so there is some daylight and a great opportunity for Todd here. This tournament, mind you, is the last before the season’s first major- the PGA Championship.
