1st Down: Will Zalatoris took the lead of the PGA Championship following round two on Friday, posting a score of -9 as he backed up an opening-round 66 with a 65. He leads the tournament at Southern Hills by a single stroke over Mito Pereira. Bubba Watson also made big headlines on the day, tying the major record for the lowest score by shooting a 63 to get himself into fourth through two rounds. Tiger Woods made the cut, coming in at +3 overall, two shots to the good to make the weekend.
2nd Down: For the second time in as many days, an MLB player had a three-home run game. On Friday, it was Josh Rojas of the Arizona Diamondbacks that pulled it off. To make it even more impressive, the three blasts were his first three homers of the season as well. The Diamondbacks hit seven total long balls in the contest, a 10-6 win over the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. Despite the win, they are a game under .500 and in fourth in the NL West.

3rd Down: The Los Angeles Dodgers extended their winning streak to six games on Friday evening, beating the Phillies in Philadelphia 4-1. Freddie Freeman had three singles and drove in two runs while Julio Urias went five scoreless innings as they forced a fourth loss in five upon their hosts.
4th Down: The NBA announced its All-Defensive Team for the 2021-22 season, and the five to make the first team included Marcus Smart, Giannis, Rudy Gobert, Mikal Bridges, and Jaren Jackson, Jr. Jackson and Bridges are new to the club while the others are already veterans of the team.
