The Ryder Cup is headed back to America after a stunningly dominant performance from Team USA that saw them win 19-9 over Europe after Sunday’s singles match. The Americans came into the final day with a 9-3 edge over the visitors, and they eased to a crushing win, buoyed by long drives and nerves of steel.

Patrick Cantlay, the FedexCup winner on the PGA Tour, went undefeated all week long while the rookies from the American team piled up the points all three days. Scottie Scheffler, who has yet to win on the Tour, got a major win on Sunday, defeating world #1 Jon Rahm. Everything went for the Americans at Whistling Straits, and you have to think there will be a big reaction to this in two years’ time when the Europeans get to welcome them to Italy.
