White Sox Beat Twins, Win Sixth In A Row

Jonathan Grant | September 16th, 2020

The race for the top spot in the AL Central is very tight between the Chicago White Sox and Minnesota Twins, and it seems to be tilting in favor of the Sox at the moment following their sixth consecutive victory on Tuesday night. It came courtesy of a 6-2 score in Minnesota and saw them improve to 32-16, placing them three full games clear of the Twins thus far.

Dale Dunning was fantastic through seven strong innings on the mound, giving up just a single run and only walking two. James McCann was the main offensive threat on the evening, as he doubled in two RBI’s and also launched a solo homer. Tim Anderson also added a home run in the sixth to help give them some ‘insurance’ and trudge toward what could be a decisive win in the division. The Twins, it must be mentioned, did get an inside-the-park homer from Byron Buxton, in the third inning, so there is a bit of trivia for you!
